John L. McNamara

President

John L. McNamara is the founder and president of McNamara Options. McNamara Options was established on the floor of the CME Group’s NYMEX/COMEX divisions in 1998. Mr. McNamara has been a COMEX member since 1985 and a NYMEX member since 1991. Mr. McNamara served on the NYMEX’s Board of Governors from 2001 until the merger of CME Group and NYMEX in 2008.

Mr. McNamara served as a founding member on the Board of Governors of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME). Mr. McNamara currently serves on the CME Group’s COMEX Governor Committee. He also serves on the CME Group’s Business Conduct Committee (BCC), the Arbitration Committee, and the Political Action Committee (PAC). Prior to starting McNamara Options, John was an officer and trader at Mizuho Securities USA Inc., Banc One Brokerage International Corporation, ABN AMRO Inc. and EDF Mann, Inc.

Michael Myers

Michael Myers has been the Chief Operating Officer of McNamara options since 1998 and has more than 25 years of experience in the professional energy sector. He started the McNamara Options OTC desk in 1999. Mr. Myers has been a member of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and NYMEX Floor Options Broker since 2004 and served on the NYMEX floor Options Conduct Committee.

Edward Bennett, Vice President of Crude Options Operation is a veteran commodity professional with over 20 years of experience. Ed has been with McNamara Options LLC for more than 12 years, as a highly qualified operations manager with extensive expertise in all facets of global commodities and derivatives markets.

He has been instrumental in cultivating strong client relationships and business partnerships that continues to enhance significant revenue growth and add to the McNamara Option’s brand.

Ed holds a Master of Business Administration in Management (M.B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting from Wagner College, New York. Ed Bennett has had extensive experience in energy trading and previously worked at BNP NY as Vice President of Crude Options and Cargill as an energy broker.

Marilyn Gonzalez

Marketing Director
Marilyn Gonzalez is the Marketing Director for McNamara Options; she is a global financial executive with exchange experience in commodities. Prior to joining McNamara Options, Ms. Gonzalez was a Managing Director for CME Group’s NYMEX in London.

Ms. Gonzalez increased the presence of the exchange by maximizing relationships with major oil/product customers, refineries, investment banks, Future Commission Merchants, consultants, hedge funds, and UK & European government regulators. She was responsible for the development and launching of new non-US energy OTC products and services resulting in increased revenue for the exchange. Marilyn began her career in banking, with early roles at Morgan Guaranty NY (JP Morgan), Union Bank of Switzerland NY, and Morgan Stanley NY.
